Orientin is isolated from Hordeum vulgare (barley) and Passiflora incarnata (maypops).Orientin is a flavone, a chemical flavonoid-like compound found in the passion flower, the palm and Anadenanthera peregrina. Orientin is also reported in millets and in the Phyllostachys nigra bamboo leaves.
